Channel 9 Perth

The new headquarters for Channel 9 Perth is located at the top of St Georges Terrace in the CBD. It’s prominent location marks a new era for the company and for television broadcasting in Perth with a state of the art studio and facilities.

The concept for the interiors takes a cue from the new studio building designed by Cox Howlett & Bailey Woodland which is wrapped in an undulating perforated veil to symbolically represent a stage curtain. The design of the public and semi-private internal spaces are an interpretation of the backstage and back-of-house areas with utilitarian ceilings, exposed services and dramatic lighting.
