Grace Anglican Church

Located on the ground floor of Shenton House, the fit out of Grace Anglican Church is not typical of ecclesiastical vernacular for a House of Worship that shares its roof with medical facilities. The space is minimal, restrained and almost brutalist with the extensive use of concrete as a finish on the floor, walls, and the custom designed altar, lectern and font. The focus of the worship space is defined by the intersection of two structural concrete beams overhead and further characterised by the repeated cross motif on the perforated fibre cement cladding and printed glazing. The fit out includes supporting offices, meeting room, sacristy and catering facilities.
